In the deep midwinter

Welcome to this site which hopefully link together my web presence . I've been a keen photographer for many years , predominantly in film but with increasingly in digital as well . The demise of Fotopic has removed my original online gallery although I've created a new Flickr one , which is linked from here. I've also published five books through Blurb details of which are on the bookstore page.

My images have also occasionally featured in the railway press as well as society magazines and I've written articles for the Brummagem Magazine and the HMRS Journal

Since 1997 I have also operated photo charters under the banner of "30742 Charters" to raise money for Railway Preservation. Events have been orchestrated on both the National Networks, Industrial Locations and Preserved lines the length and breadth of the country on both standard and narrow gauge lines .
